In August I made a mistake of signing up for a 12 month contract for a product called priority placement from YellowPages.ca. I am now four months into the contract ($160) and the results are pathetic. I have received zero phone calls and have had only five referrals to my website. I called customer service to voice my unhappiness however the robot I talked to on the phone wouldn’t allow me to exit my contract. I am now stuck having to pay $40/month for the next 8 months ($320). What a waste of money.

If you are a small business or a freelancer I strongly advise against advertising with YellowPages.ca. Their contract based advertising schema is an out dated approach that puts company profit ahead of customer satisfaction. Once you sign an advertising contract you are locked in to pay whether or not it produces results.
