Wireframing
Creating wireframes for a website is similar to making blueprints for a house. They are produced in the early stages of a web project (prior to page mockups) to help determine what content will appear on each page.
You don’t want to get into too much detail when producing wireframes. They should be grayscale, contain no images, and use blocks and placeholder text to represent areas of content. By working in low detail, it allows you to make speedy revisions and quickly produce alternate layouts. Design decisions related to the look and feel of the page should be ignored during this stage of the project.
